Sunday Night Poem For the Heroes Who Do Not Sleep
Wartorn Lad. Crushing the Cobbles. Singing of Fermented Wine. Cry oh empty Bed
Rubber made of gold. Rims off the Anvil. Tears on the the Top.
You gave your youth. why not your old age.
Do not live for tomorrow but for the Ides of March.
and her tight Jeans thrown on the floor.
You will sing her name just as soon as you call your name for dinner.

Get A GRIP/C-40/Cervelo R5-CA
Saturday:
1. Stopped off to get some help from the Saj at Get a Grip. My C40 barrel adjuster on the frame had broken off at the tip and the threaded part was still in the frame. He fixed it in no time of course. He used a simple drywall screw to tap into the remaining threaded section and then slowly removed it.
Tenspeed Embro
While most of the Heroes were fighting it out at the Sheridan Road sprint points this frigid November morning, I was at home, battling a lingering upper respiratory infection and taking my first stab at homemade embrocation. Chili pepper seeds steeped in warm oil for seven days. Scent of clove, orange peel, and Bourbon. Emulsified with some all-natural beeswax to give it the viscosity a Hero needs for those all-day excursions. I'm pretty pleased with the first batch and can't wait to test it in the field. I'm confident I'll have the recipe perfected in time for the Spring Double.
Also, I think we should have a label design contest.

Radio from the Archive
I was looking though the Tenspeed Hero archive and found some dusty, beat-up reel to reels with the eurosport radio coverage of one of our early single loops. They were in pretty bad shape but I was able to pull this bit. enjoy.

Cobbles-TDF-Roubaix

I was just wondering what Paris Roubaix would be like if TDF contendors raced it. Would their class reveal itself even though they are not specialists. Does being a contender for the TDF podium really mean no classics preparations. Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador have won 10 of the last 12 Editons so why do all these other riders avoid riding the one race besides Flanders that will make them legends in the sport. After Cadel's heroic ride on on the strada bianca on stage 7 of the 2010 Giro and his ride in Cobbled stage during the 2010 TDF, would he not stand a chance? Would you rather be the guy who made the podium or the guy that won all the monuments or even just one?

Look 585 Rest in Peace
The venerable Look 585 has been replaced on the 2011 Look Catalogue. I believe this bike was introduced in 2004. That is a long time to be around for a model that has changed little since its introduction. In general, externally lugged carbon frames are getting thinned out of alot of bike companies roster but BMC's Impec and Colnago's c-59 still cary the banner.

Saturday November 6. Working with Samuel Hero on mock-ups for the DLM/LOOK 585/2011. I was just testing some Sizing and Scale. Sam will make it beautiful. We will keep you up to date on the progress. We are starting to think going with a white frame with the different decals echoing the Mondrian/Look Color Scheme. Another Concept will be Blue Rear Triangle. White Main Frame. Red Fork. All decals will correspond to the RED BLUE YELLOW.Friday, November 5, 2010

Memphis-Milano DLM

Dear Luke Hero,
Please consider this paint job for your upcoming project. I am thinking hot pink text for the decal set. Cipollini would be proud. (excuse the crude rendering).
